What a day. Woke up at 2:50 am and headed to work. Got quite a bit of stuff done and was done at 10:30. At about 1 pm I headed out on a 15 mile bike ride out to Lenville Road to the Genesse/Troy Road and back to the bike trail along the Troy Highway. Had the trailer attached so the wind had a nice affect on the trip. There are several big hills on the way and it made it a great work out.
I have been awake for about 19 hours so this has truely been a long day.

McCall
Well it was a very good weekend. Philip, Victoria and I went to McCall to help my parents plant trees by their cabin near Warren. Over 250 trees and bushes where planted on Saturday. My two sisters and brother in-law had a great time.
We got done early enough that Philip, Victoria and I could go to church that evening. We had a nice restful evening with tacos and some beer.
The next morning we had sourdough pancakes. Nothing beats those for a good breakfast. I then got on the bike and went around Payette Lake. It is a 20 mile ride and it was a very good one to do. I then did it again in the early afternoon. I felt real great after both rides and had a good time. The afternoon ride was a little more congested with traffic.

Rosary Ride
OK. 12.5 miles this morning and I got part way to Pullman. I went as far as one Rosary (started at the state line). It looks like I get about 3 miles per Rosary. I don't know my MPH but I do know my MPR. I like doing the Rosary when I ride. It helps me get into a good mood and helps me relax for the rest of the day.
It was a very good ride and I am not sore after it.
The weather was nice and there was a slight breeze from the west. Of course I have the trailer attached and I was carrying my gym bag in the trailer. It was nice seeing all of the other bike commuters on the trail.

Training
Well the MS150 in McCall is over a month and a half away and I am having fun on the bike. So far I have ridden 50 miles in 8 days. I know I need to ride that plus 15 to 20 on both of the days that I ride in August.
Well I am going to try and get a little bit more miles in the coming days. It has been hard to get out when I have been helping at the school with the roof and just being a dad all the time. Philip (in the picture with me) is a pretty good biking buddy but he can not go more than 8 miles and I go so much faster then him. The trailer attached to my bike is a great carrier of all my stuff plus it does a great job being a drag chute when the wind is blowing.
Tomorrow will be a ride toward Pullman and back before a meeting at 1. Hopefully I don't stink to bad from it.

Kittens
Well the two kittens have been in our house for a few weeks. He (Vincent) is quite the friendly little guy. She (Oreo) is quite the hissy girl. I have been trying to make her feel more comfortable in the house. It is great to hear her purr when she is being petted. Kids are really doing a good job in making her feel welcome.
Oreo is on the left and Vincent is on the right.
They replace our last cat, Boo, who was attacked by two dogs. We decided to get two this time to make sure that there is always a playmate when we are gone.
